Join us for a Safe Space Conversation facilitated by the University of Alabama Counseling Center and Graduate School—a supportive, judgment-free environment where graduate students can engage in open dialogue around mental wellness, academic stress, identity, and personal development. This workshop is designed to foster emotional safety, mutual respect, and community connection among participants.
Whether you’re navigating the challenges of graduate school, exploring issues related to identity and belonging, or simply looking for a space to feel heard, this session offers a chance to reflect, share, and listen. Trained counseling staff will guide the conversation and provide helpful insights and resources, but the emphasis is on peer-to-peer discussion in a welcoming, confidential setting.
And yes, food will be provided! Nourish your body and mind while connecting with others in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere.
Who Should Attend: All UA graduate students are seeking a respectful, inclusive space for authentic conversation and support.
Topics May Include:
Managing academic and personal stress
Identity and inclusion in graduate school
Coping strategies and emotional resilience
Community-building and connection
Please feel free to register below to reserve your spot. Space is limited, and food will be available for registered participants.
